	Still a popular design, the Valkyrie is a Battlemech exclusively in service with House Davion. Fast, agile and equipped with jump- jets, the Valkyrie carries decent armor and an unusual weapon for a light mech, a LRM/10. The production of the Valkyrie initially was commissioned by the Star League Defense Force, but after the First Succession War all factories producing this type of `Mech were located within the Federated Suns. Even today the huge industrial complex at New Avalon is still producing Valkyries.
